FAQ's
Who are you?
The Bob Lazar Story features :
Matt Deacon on Guitar and composition
Mike Fudakowski on 8 string Bass
Nathan Peters on Keys
Kevin Roberts on Drums.
What's the name all about then?
Bob Lazar is an intriguing figure from the UFO world, claimed to have worked at Area 51, reverse engineering propulsion systems on crashed discs, and all that shit.
What kind of music is it?
The closest label would be Progressive Rock, but without the cheesy lyrics and vocals and super long songs with wanky solos. It's definitely not one for commercial radio, and their narrow minded outlook.
How many Cds have you released?
Two.
2006 saw the release of "(sic)" to critical acclaim locally and on various music websites including Garageband.com where ThreeFourFaster reached #1 on the all time best experimental guitar charts. Clocking in at just under 35 minutes, "(sic)" featured many tunes that make up the bulk of The Bob Lazar Story's live set.
2007 saw the release of a 6 track EP "The Silence of Perez de Cuellar". You could view it eaither as :
a) A 22 minute instrumental tour-de-force, evoking many moods, feauturing virtuosic playing.
b) A 22 minute journey into the world of tritonal wank music.
Why should Joe Public buy it?
Because it's different to the mass produced formula bullshit that floods the airwaves. It's challenging, heavy, and very creative. Also, I have a young son, and you wouldn't want to see him go hungry would you?
Plans to gig?
We have been gigging since Oct 2007, in and around Christchurch, New Zealand.
