Things Are Looking Up
Hello!! It's been a while eh? If you were to ask "Where have you been for the last two years?", I would have to answer with "Don't ask!". It's been a mad time here at LucidBruce Towers. Unexpected uprooting, taxi driving oddysey, earthquakes, hard drive failures, Ebola, etc. Ok, no Ebola, but you get the picture.
Suffice to say, almost nothing has been acheived in a whole 2 year period and Space Roots is at the same point as it was then - 95% done. But the end is in sight.
Our portable hard drive was twatted, but turns out all it needed was a new enclosure. This is great news, as it's got all the audio file back-ups of Space Roots on it.
Also, looks like I'm closer to rebuilding the music PC and finishing things off. Just need about six hundy buckaroos.

Hey, we've tidied up the site a bit, got rid of some dead links. Wanted to let you American folks know that you can download both albums for free at Amie Street.
That's if you get in quick enough. The price starts to creep up as the downloads increase. We shouldn't really be telling you this, but whatever.
Also, some sweet deals available here.

Holy Shit...
...I see it's been the best part of 12 months since I last updated the news page. Becoming a dad will do that to you. But rest assured friends and fans, things have been happening during this time.
We have been doing gigs here and there, most recently the Kiwi FM Mash Up here in Christchurch. 3 bands played, and similar gigs happened in Auckland and Wellington. Live recordings of all the bands that played will be put up on Kiwi Fm's website and people can vote for their faves.
We played really well and hopefully we can post some of the live recordings soon.

Hello friends and fans. The recent lack of news was a result of our old PC crashing completely. We have invested in some new hardware and we're back!

George Hrab is a very generous man!!!!
After discovering that The Bob Lazar Story's new CD has the same title as George Hrab's 1996 effort, we here at LucidBruceMusic got in touch with George at www.geologicrecords.net . George offered a CD trade and sent us the aforementioned (sic) and his new CD - Interrobang. After realising that he neglected to include the disc to Interrobang, he then sent all his back catalogue to us. That's 5 in total. To say we were blown away is understating it. On top of that, the music is awesome, like some bastard lovechild of Frank Zappa and XTC. Great art and packaging too - you should all check it out.

Rip It Up Review
Just got hold of the August edition of Rip It Up. The new album got a two star review (out of five). Well, you know, if you put your music out there to be reviewed, you have to be prepared for some people not to like it. I spent the rest of yesterday with a red pen, filling in a couple more stars in as many copies in Chch as I could find.

Rehearsals
The Bob Lazar Story has now started rehearsals for gigs in the Christchurch/South Island area.
Presently, just a rhythm section is being put through it's paces, getting to grips with some of the grooves with a plan to add another guitarist and keyboard/synth player in the very near future. Watch this space........
