Who The F**k is Perez de Cuellar?
Well, Perez de Cuellar used to be head honcho
at the UN back in the day. It has been alleged that he was a witness to an
alien abduction that took place in New York in 1989 where a woman was floated
out of her apartment window by "beings" and taken aboard some type
of craft.
He met these allegations with a wall of silence, hence the title of the new
CD.
Track Info
1. Wheat Hat - Let this tune be a warning to all those who think that drink/drugs and Pictionary are a good mix. That aside, this is a track with 3 distinct sections including a spacey jam-filled outro.
2. There's No Trolley - Just over 2 minutes of odd-time madness.
3. My Hand Looks Like A Brontosaurus - This one is a re-do of a tune called Lamento de Bronty that appeared on the 2004 release from Matt Deacon. It's guitar-tastic (especially the outro). When I originally wrote this, the shape for the second chord made my hand look like a dinosaur from the side. Honestly.
4. The Silence of Perez de Cuellar - Title track, 12/8, 13/8, 5/4, 6/4, it's got the lot, plus a wicked melody.
5. Meat Whores/Glass Eyed and Frankly ft Crazy Legs - A multi-layered E-Bow intro starts this one off, before the tune launches into a heavier riff and some more ambient sections. Crazy Legs is a littlle jazzy piece that I sped up and threw into the tune.
6. Foodstool 82 - Two guitar parts that took 82 takes in total. Not that it was very hard - it's just that I was a bit crap.
